Pperuvian
Irma B4027
|
|
White,
122665, Full Peruvian
|
|
Selected
as the first pick in the second
importation, Irma’s luster and lock were
immediately obvious. She was transported
back to Spokane and arrived the day of the
first Alpaca Showcase, judged by Don Julio
Barreda. Her owners carried Irma, who
would not lead, to the show ring and drug
her around the arena. She was matted and
dirty, but when Don Julio opened her
fleece and looked at her luster, he
grinned broadly at her new owners. Irma
was awarded first place; her first and
only show experience.
Irma has been on a small farm and under
bred. She has only thrown seven cria since
her importation. Two of those have gained
notoriety including Tagi of Legacy Hills,
co-owned by Latah Creek Alpacas and
Chelsea Farms, who took First Place and
Color Champion at AOBA Nationals in
2001,as well as first place and Color
champion at Alpaca Western Extravanza.
Irma was purchased in 2003 by SunRock
Suris.

Inca G4581 |
|
White,
123076, Peruvian |
|
There
are many superlatives used to describe
exceptional herdsires and all of them
apply to Pperuvian Inca. A remarkable,
pre-potent import, Inca has proven himself
repeatedly, consistently throwing extreme
fineness of fleece, glaring luster and
escellent definition of lock.At the end of
the 2004 show season, we counted 17
champions and reserve champions a major US
shows, including AOBA Nationals, the AAA
Futurity, Alpaca Western Extravaganza, the
International Alpaca Odyssey, as well as
multiple championships at other shows. At
the time of his importation, Inca had a
micron count of 17; at the age of 10, his
micron count was 24. Inca has been a
pillar in the breeding program at Latah
Creek where his book is closed.

This
50 percent Accoyo, full Peruvian female is
the daughter of Pperuvian Inca and Pperuvian
Irma, and a full sister to Tagi of Legacy
Hills, AOBA and Futurity Champion. Both her
sire and her full brother have closed
breeding books. Isabelle has soft, greasy
fine fleece with incredible luster. Her lock
is uniform and dense and she is well
covered. Her 2006 fleece came back with a
comfort factor of 98%, and a mircron count
of 19. She has a wonderful patient
temperment. She is an easy breeder. Her
first cria was a beautiful female who is
extremely lusterous and finely locked and
who, we believe, was our best female cria in
2008. Her cria last year was another
beautiful suri male. She is bred to our
MacGyver stud for a fall 2010 cria.
